All leader managers share six common characteristics:

1. Purpose
2. Communication
3. Plan Ahead
4. Conflict
5. Inspire Self towards the positive
6. Inspire Others towards the positive

These six can be summarized as;

Be clear, treat people and problems according to the laws of reason and then, within reason, maintain a positive mental attitude.

Clarity relates to developing two specific forms;

1. purpose
2. communication

Of all the things that go towards shaping our destiny, it is our belief in our own abilities which has the greatest influence. Our level of self belief determines whether we succeed or fail to achieve our dreams and ambitions. As Henry Ford said “If you think you can, you’re right. If you think you can’t, you’re right.”

Leadership 101
By: Ashley Hunter

What does a leader look like, sound like and do? There is no one correct mold. Great leaders come in all shapes, sizes, voices and styles. However, great leaders share a common outcome – they oversee getting important things done!

While leadership is hard to define, you know it when you see it, feel it, and hear it. An effective leader creates clarity about where the business is headed and how each team member can contribute to the cause. Such clarity helps reduce confusion and wasted actions and energy. Clarity also helps your employees to make better decisions within established boundaries. As a result, you can breathe more and supervise less.

Stress is more than just an unpleasant experience. A person who is unable to properly cope with prolonged stress becomes susceptible to serious illness and even the possibility of death.. There are several programs that can help you reduce the amount of stress in your life such as palates, yoga, meditation, and massages. But what if you don’t have time for these things? Here are a few simple strategies to relieve stress.

1. Music. With today’s technologies, it is possible to keep your favorite songs in your pocket. When you start to become overwhelmed with stress, start listening to one of your favorite songs.

I have never underestimated the power of visualization! It has always been a winning technique for me. I want to tell you there is a secret to it that most people miss.
I discovered at a young age that I loved to use my imagination.

I would see all kinds of wonderful things happening for me. This brought me to the realization that everything I had created up to that point I had first visualized. If that were true and it was then I can create ANYTHING with this.

Eleven differences between those who dream and those who act:

1-Wanna-be’s obsess about ideas. Entrepreneurs obsess about
implementation.

Don’t get stuck in Analysis Paralysis. Look at what the top income
producers are doing and copy them. No need to re-invent the wheel

2-Wanna-be’s focus on positive thinking. Entrepreneurs plan for
multiple contingencies.

Positive thinking is important but you are not a Jedi, yet. You
cannot move things with your mind or conjure money out of thin air.
Positive thinking will only get you so far. You must have Positive
thinking combined with specific, targeted action.

This blog is an extension of a project that I began about 18-months ago. The purpose of the project was to determine why I had done so well in my professional life, but have seemingly failed in my personal life. I purchased my first home and was doing very well by my 20th birthday. I was broke by my 24th birthday, living from paycheck to paycheck. Though I was nationally recognized for my management skills within two of Americas largest retailers, I couldn’t seem to manage the personal aspects of my life.

“Take the first step in faith. You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.”

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

If you want something in your life, you are going to have to go out and get it. You can’t just sit around and wait for it to come to you. And here is where my Hippocratic behavior is apparent. Figure out what you want, and get it, if you don’t answer the door when opportunity knocks, it won’t stick around and wait for you. My problem in life is that while I sit around the house and wait for opportunity to come on into my living room, the whole while, opportunity is sitting outside my door getting tired of waiting for me to open it. Here’s a suggestion, Live.
